Autopilot control panel signed by the pilot of the Enola Gay, General Paul
Tibbets. This type was used in the B-17, B-29 and B-24 bombers. On
the B-17, it was mounted on the center pedestal housing the throttle
controls and trim wheel. The data plate reads U.S. ARMY AIR FORCES, TYPE
C-1 AUTOPILOT, AUTOPILOT CONTROL PANEL, MFRS. NO. G 1047C1CA2, ORDER NO.
W33-038AC6609, MINNEAPOLIS-HONEYWELL REG. CO. The front is bent just below the opening cover on the

Norden PDI Gauge Signed Robert Morgan. This is a PDI aircraft
instrument as used in the B-17, B-24 and other WWII aircraft. This one has
been signed by the pilot of the "Memphis Belle", Robert Morgan.
It was part of the C-1 autopilot system used in conjunction with the
Norden bombsight. The instrument face is stamped C.L.N. INC., 23-27 V.D.C.,

Silk Escape Map Signed Paul Tibbets. This is an original WWII silk map
issue to American flyers during WWII. It shows Hiroshima and best of all
has been autographed by the B-29 pilot of The Enola Gay, General Paul
Tibbets. It was issued by the Army Map Service and dated 1944. The reverse
side shows Tokyo. It is in very good condition. This is one of several
autographed items we will be posting. It comes with a certificate of
authenticity as well.
